Barbara and I traveled with the Austin Honor Flight on Saturday, September 28 as 35 World War II veterans and their Guardians visited the World War II, Korean, Vietnam, Arlington Cemetery, Air Force and Marine Memorials. On this day over 700 WWII veterans from all over the United States took advantage of a beautiful day to visit Washington D.C. while hundreds of tourists shook their hands and thanked them for their military service. While Barbara and I were accompanying the Austin Texas group and taking hundreds of photos, we met a Navy active duty officer whom we had helped at our USO Andrews location a few weeks before. The naval officer had a WWII veteran relative in the Austin group and the whole family posed for my camera. See my upcoming photoshow for a visual treat of this Austin Honor Flight!
