Funeral Service for Albert Baxter on February 11
This photoshow contains 137 photos, many of them showing the Arlington National Cemetery funeral service of SMSGT Albert Baxter on February 11, 2016.
He died on October 30, 2015 at the age of 89. He served in WWII as a B-26 “Grease Monkey” and later was a Secretary of the Washington Area Marauder Men (WAMM).
He published a guidebook detailing a comprehensive collection of memorials and monuments involving the B-26 Marauder and its service personnel. Bob Magruder, holds one of those guides in his hands at the Officer Club reception near the end of the photoshow. Bob is the son of the main designer of the Marauder bomber (Peyton Magruder,)

Family members shown at the service include his daughter and granddaughter, both named Susan Baxter. They are dressed in black and are together in many of the photos. Other photos include ones from the funeral service of Al’s wife Lisa of 62 years, and WAMM meetings at the American Legion in Fairfax, Virginia.
