Bob Magruder’s passing brings back many memories of his Army and family past

Barbara and I went to a "wake" for Bob Magruder on September 27, 2018. We took a bunch of Photos of the event held at the Jefferson Funeral Chapel in Alexandria, Virginia. Bob Magruder dies

The quintessential soldier's soldier, West-Point class of 1964, career soldier, artillery, and three time All-American swimmer, passed away on Monday, September 17, 2018. Robert was the son of the late Peyton Magruder and Julia Motley-Magruder. Loving husband to Angie for 50 years; father to Cynthia Magruder, and Scott Magruder (Venus); Brother of Marshall Magruder (Lucy) and the late Douglas Magruder, KIA Vietnam. A kinder man there never was. Relatives and friends may call at Jefferson Funeral Chapel, 5755 Castlewellan Dr., Alexandria VA on Thursday, September 27, 2018 from 5 to 9 p.m. A funeral service and interment will be held at Arlington National Cemetery with full military honors at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project....

2018 167th Dinner held at Heritage Hills in Inwood, WV

The 2018 167th Dinner was held at Heritage Hills in Inwood, WV this year instead of at the 167th Air Guard base. Over 150 attended the catered affair with speeches made by 167th Wing Commander Cochrane and CSM Victor Angry (RET) after the dinner. A band also entertained the crowd with 50-50 raffle tickets sold.
